About
Tasty Things is a concise collection of great booze, made by awesome people, who really, really give a damn about quality, their environment and the people around them.
The goal is to connect these amazing producers with the people of Australia, to tell their stories, get their tasty things in people’s glasses, and in doing so be able to support the producers to continue doing the fabulous things they are doing.
We have dedicated our whole lives to the pursuit of finding, understanding, and sharing tasty things, believing that the joy they bring, and their power of connecting people in shared moments of wonder is one of the most beautiful parts of the human experience.
Whilst representing any and all tasty things from wherever they come from is our manifesto, we do have a specialisation in the new-wave wines of Portugal. We were lucky enough to get to travel to Portugal in 2018 and 2022 and have been blown away by the burgeoning scene of producers making fabulous low-intervention wines from organic vineyards they farm themselves. With a spectacularly rich viticultural history, the luxury of incredible genetic material in centuries-old massale selected bush vines, and 100’s of unique indigenous varieties perfectly evolved to the 1000’s of microclimates strewn about the country—we think Portugal is one of the most exciting wine countries in the world right now.
So far, these wines have been criminally underrepresented outside of Portugal and I am delighted to be able to share the most exciting things happening over there with the people of Australia.
